Young Personalities & Attitudes

Aren't young children amazing???....Oh, all children are amazing at any age....they are fascinating as they develope their personalities.....but they still need guidance.....I had three boys approximately two years apart...and then we adopted a little girl....Rick, our first born, was very shy....When he went to kindergarten, he was 4 years old (his birthday was before December 31) so he was able to go that September....I had no qualms about sending him....he was smart and bright....Then the teacher called me in...he did not know how to join in the childrens play....he was very shy, she said....anyway it took Rick almost three months before he started to come home and talk about all the friends he made and the fun he was having at school....we used to ask him questions when he came home, so that he would have to talk about his day and all the kids and the teacher and every day it got easier for him.....NOW....Mick was a whole different story....the first day he went to school he was put out in the hall because he was pushy and mouthy....so working with him was very different from working with his brother....we had to talk to him about keeping his hands to himself and and his mouth closed unless he was going to say something nice......Now....Vic was really no problem...seeing as he had two different personalities to contend with at home ....he was able to get along with everyone.....Then....we adopted a little girl....she idolized her brothers ....they could do no wrong....so when she started school she kind of blended with the boys more than the girls.....because she grew up with her three brothers....she knew how to communicate easier with the boys...so anytime teacher couldn't find Mari...she checked the boys area.....Oh they weren't perfect...none of them....they had to be taught right from wrong.....Four different personalities and they did their share of arguing, bickering, fighting, having fun and growing up....but they all turned out to be good people....the boys are men to be proud of (and I am) and my daughter is a great Mom and gramma now...works in a hospital in the ER.....Yes, I am very proud of them all....Oh, it wasn't easy.....there were some very upsetting times and disciplining involved ....of course....now-a-days....children go to day care ...pre-school...and it is very, very important that they realize very early that this is just a place for them to go to every day so that Mom and Dad can work and know they are being taken care of....it is not a second home....some children get confused about this .....My cousins son went to a day care and he called the teacher Mommy....no one ever corrected him....so he still does....well, I guess I said enough for now...but I'll be back with some of their antics later.....

Think about it !!!

Do you feel like the "American People" are banging their heads against a brick wall ?? We vote for these guys thinking they are goling to help us and make things better.....JOKE.....all they are doing is lining their own pockets.....then getting out with a paycheck that comes out of our pocket for the rest of their lives....security guards....benefits up their geegee....all paid by our tax dollars......In the mean time , jobs are going to foreign countries.....Pepsi is spending 250 billion dollars to move and enlarge their business in China.....Ford trucks are made in China....What's the matter with "The Americans"??? Are we no longer skilled?? People cross the border and immediately receive more money than a senior citizen receives on social security....whether they have children or not.....Then this ....(I wish I could use the words I want to).....so called president of ours...helps to protect our country by naming two muslim friends of hi s as our leaders of security.....like the fox guarding the hens.....Think about it....he has two more years in which to cause a whole lot of problems for the people of this Country.....and he has a few helpful idiots to help him....It's as if they have people posted in certain areas...like Abyelazam -the Ohio serial stabber....and MajorHasan-who killed thirteen people at the army base in Texas and also wounded thirty-two others....They are chipping away at us and destroying families, causing grief and children to grow up without parents....wasn't 9/11 enough????? I think building a mosque on the site they have chosen is a deliberate insult....Think about it !!!!!!

YOU----

When you get what you want in your struggle for self, and the world makes you king for a day, just go to a mirror and look at yourself and see what the man has to say............For it isn't your boss, father, mother or wife whose judgment you haveto pass; The fellow whose verdict counts most in your life is the man staring back from the glass...........Some people may think you're a straight shooting chum, and call you a wonderful guy; But the man in the glass says you're only a bum, if you can't look him straight in the eye.............He's the fellow to please never mind all the rest, for he's with you clear up to the end. And you passed your most difficult task if the man in the glass is your friend.............You may fool the whole world down the pathway of life, and get pats on your back as you pass; but the final reward will be heartaches and tears, if you've cheated the man in the glass.

You in the Glass

Pet Peeves

Having been head of various account departments and/or supervisor of same --One of my pet peeves was always -- "Do not bring your home problems to work and vice-a-versa".......If you are ticked at your husband or wife or upset with your kids---do not take it out on your co-workers---they did not cause your problem.....Sometimes, just leaving it at home or work gives you a chance to rethink it and you might find either the solution or the fact that it wasn't that important after all.....And I am not saying not to discuss it....maybe you have a co-worker you can talk to about it and relieve your anxiety.......and sometimes---if the problem can be discussed out of the office----hearing it put into words helps you find the solution..........But, the main thing is, when you shut the door at home, you leave the problem on the inside....and your day will be off to a better start.....and when you leave work, the same applies..........Remember, every day is a new adventure, it is up to you to enjoy it....Everyone has problems every day......just do not let them rule your life of ruin your day......ENJOY!!!!!!!!!

Old Starting New

Here I am-a blog person-thanks to my son Rick. I don't know whether to thank him or strangle him, so if you get bored reading, you strangle him..........Being an Italian mother and the daughter of a very, very, strict Italian mother, I was also a strict mother, only not as bad as my mother.........Some of you know my son Rick, he is now under the jurisdction of Elaine, but has he ever mentioned that he has two brothers (Mick & Vic)? I used to love signing my Christmas cards (Ricky, Micky, & Vicky) cutely nauseating!!! He also has a sister, Mari-Rose--more about them later.........I am an avid reader of happy ending stories.....We see enough misery in life on the news and if that is not enough, they make up the most gorey movies for us to pay for to watch........My husband and I married young- so you could say we grew up with our children---it was funny sometimes..........so stay tuned,if you are so inclined..........
